Six week baby checks and mums post-natal checks are done by a GP, this is a combined appointment and usually takes 30 minutes.

The practice will contact you to arrange this appointment, please ensure you bring your babies “Personal child health record” red book with you.

Baby immunisation clinics are held every Thursday 10.30am – 11.30am am by our Practice Nurse, this clinic is for immunisations only. You will receive a letter through the post from the child health computer section with an appointment date and time. If you cannot attend please contact the practice to arrange.

If your baby has a high temperature they may not be able to receive their immunisations, please contact the practice for advice.

Pregnant ladies can now self-refer to maternity services at WWL through the WWL website: https://www.wwl.nhs.uk/maternity-self-referral-form.

Pertussis vaccination is available for all pregnant ladies after 16 weeks gestation, please contact the practice to make an appointment.

Influenza vaccination is available for all pregnant ladies, please contact the practice to make an appointment, clinics are usually held between September – January.

Midwives provide antenatal care at the practice and at home for postnatal ladies. You do not need to see the GP to obtain a referral for antenatal care with the midwives. Simply contact the Midwives to book an appointment when you are 6-8 weeks pregnant, they will then arrange your booking appointment.
