Travel Advice & Vaccinations

If you are going abroad and think you may need travel vaccinations please complete a travel questionnaire, this can be printed from the link above or collected from reception. This should be done at least 8 weeks prior to your travel date.

Once completed please hand into reception, the nurse will assess your requirements and you will be contacted to make an appointment at the practice. Vaccines should be administered at least 3 weeks before travel to be fully effective.

It is important to start this process at least 8 weeks before you travel as late requests may not always be accommodated due to appointment capacity.

Travel vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
